Nadia Minkoff at London Fashion Week

Nadia Minkoff wowed everyone once again with her wonderful new collection at London Fashion week. Following a successful collaboration last season, London based designer Nico Didonna and London based accessories designer Nadia Minkoff joined forces yet again to create a sensational catwalk as part of the ‘Bloomsbury set’ during London Fashion Week.

The catwalk, held on Saturday 14th Sept in London’s West End to a crowd of celebrities, bloggers and die-hard followers paid homage to the Cubist movement, with sharp tailoring, accentuated lines and a fresh palette of White, Navy and Emerald with injections of Yellow, Gold and hues of blue.

Nico’s distinctive style focused on dynamic silhouettes, fluidity, sharp lines and interchangeable pieces: tailored & flared dogs-tooth trousers with tailored jackets and gilets, layered Kimono style shift dresses, sequined Palazzo trousers with floaty chiffon tops and his signature cowl back draped dresses.

Nadia Minkoff accessories completed the look with oversized laser cut clutch bags in a punchy Cyan blue and patent white leathers. Statement necklaces in clear glass and matt gold, pearl loop necklaces, crescent shaped earrings in cut glass and pearl, and refined short strap tote bags.

I Belong To Me

Natalie B Coleman's A/W13 collection, 'I Belong To Me', was inspired when she hosted a smashing party. An actual smashing party! Quite literally that. Her guests came, brought old china, smashed it up and thus the bright, colourful, explosive prints in this cool, elegant and very sexy collection were born.

This printed maxi dress was the first piece that caught my eye when I originally had a sneaky peak at the collection. With it's intricate ruched, draped back, it is a great piece for an evening look with a cool, rock & roll edge. The silhouette is very Natalie B Coleman and has been beautifully reinterpreted this season. The drape detail is so figure flattering; it gives the impression of a tiny waist and billows as you move, giving you a sexy wiggle in your walk. Natalie wants her designs to "make women feel really good" and they do; you couldn't feel anything but fabulous in this silky creation! I feel sexy when I wear it; like a sensual, lithesome snake-like creature!

It's first outing was, rather fittingly, for a romantical date night with my gorgeous Husband and he absolutely loved it! I styled the dress with towering Christian Louboutin heels (he's tall, I'm short, I need the extra height!) and complimented the silvery/blue tones of the digital print with a gorgeous silk, brooch embellished clutch bag from Nadia Minkoff.

Fit & Flare

I was invited to a lovely evening of fashion, champagne & more fashion at my local Reiss store last week to launch their fantastic AW13 collection. The beautiful Store Manager Carly, looked a million dollars wearing this dress & I absolutely fell in love with it. She found one in my size, I tried it on and my Husband loved it so much that he bought it for me on the spot!

Fit & flare styles are a key trend this season. One of the most figure flattering looks, the style is fitted through the bodice, cinched in at the waist and flares out into a fuller skirt, creating a very feminine, flirty silhouette. The 'Roe Snake' dress is a gorgeous take on this trend. Made from 100% pure silk it feels so sensual against my skin. It features short sleeves, that fantastic fit & flare shape, a round neck, an all over snake print in indigo and double frills at the hem that add femininity and movement.

I went for a very dressed down look when I styled my dress for a sunny afternoon out with the girls. I wore a great pair of flat Topshop brogues (my current obsession with androgynous flat footwear is showing no sign of abating!) and added a gorgeous pop of colour with my bright red satchel from The Cambridge Satchel Co; this scarlet beauty never fails to be a show stopper!

China Blue

London based label Three Floor Fashion was launched in 2011 and is fast gaining a cult following in the fashion world. Inspired by the effortless style of fashion insiders, from models to bloggers, Three Floor's aesthetic is laidback-luxe; cool, relaxed collections with provocative hemlines and unique, sexy silhouettes that flatter the female shape.

The China Blue dress is one of the sexiest, most eye-catching dresses I have ever seen! A stunning figure skimming piece with sexy blue lace against a non-transparent nude mesh, it features long semi-sheer sleeves with gold button fastening, side cut-outs, a keyhole back detail, exposed gold zip fastening, a short rounded hemline and faux leather that trims the delicate lace. It is a show stopper in every way!

I styled the dress for this shoot with patent nude shoes. A great shoe colour to lengthen legs. I added the iconic Lulu Guinness red lips clutch and finished the look off with a bold, red lip.

Pretty In Pink

This dress is another fabulous piece from Emma Manley's wonderful S/S13 "Lookin' For You" collection. The wool and cotton mix dress, in a delicate shade of pink, has a cool perforated leather collar with horse shoe shaped studs at the front and back. It is sleeveless and has a zip closure to the back.

I styled the dress with some of my most treasured accessories. The shoes and the bag are both from iconic brand Chanel. I've had them for a number of years & I still wear them regularly; they are real investment pieces.

The shoes are a classic Mary-Jane style in a monochrome black and white colour-way. I have seen pop princess Kylie Minogue and fashion icon Kate Moss wearing these shoes. The bag was an incredible gift from my Husband and comes in my favourite colour combination of pale pink & black, it's the perfect match for my pretty pink dress. I completed the look by adding a simple, vintage charm bracelet and recently purchased Chanel sunglasses.
